Wanna Change my Clothes my Hair, My Domain…
January 29th, 2008Hey everybody, so the question that is doubtlessly not on everybodys lips right now, is: What’s the deal with the “new” domain. This whole neutron-x.com thing.
Well, in a nutshell, i’ve had it for a long time, it’s just mostly been a clearinghouse for mp3s, a place to store my pictures (since I don’t care for flickr) , to be honest I never used it for very much.
However, with the impending demise of my band Replicator, I figured it was a good of a time as any to change up my default domain and e-mail address. See it’s not that I plan to do all that much with this site, although I admit the idea of crossposting to the various web2.0 that I participate in, without logging in manually is very enticing. But the time has come.
See, I don’t really like change, i’ve had the same phone number for years, and the same e-mail for years too. The main problem with that, however, especially e-mail, is the longer you have it, and the more you use it for stuff the more it is filled up with… basically… crap.
I know people that go through e-mails like they go through magazines, a new one every couple months or so. That’s never been me.
But since Replicator is ending, and this is an election year, where i’m already deluged with about 20 pieces of political mailing list e-mails, as well as 100 or so spam mails a day (that get PAST the filter), it’s time for a change.
So from here forward my e-mail will be Conan @ neutron-x.com, without the spaces of course.
I’ll still be checking the neutron account, at least for the next few months or so, but will gradually be phasing it out completely, so if you need to update your address book listings or whatever, it’d be a good time to do so. It’s going to be a slow process, but i’m working towards it.
